with a foreword by Paula Scher and a preface by Erik Spiekermann

Category: Exhibition

100 typographic works over 30 years, illustrating the Cantos from the Divine Comedy. Divided into the Divine Comedy's 3 parts of the Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise, ISTD member Barrie Tullett has taken one obsolete technology for each: letterpress for the Inferno, a typewriter for Purgatory and Letraset for Paradise (Paradise is not yet complete). These beautiful images are not to be missed.

Barrie is Programme Leader for Graphic Design at Lincoln and also runs the Caseroom Press.

It is with sadness that I write these words. Another truly talented typographer and designer has left us. Passing away peacefully on the 13th February 2019.

Freda Sack (9 comments)

It is with great sadness we announce that Freda Sack, Honorary Fellow and Past President of the ISTD passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday 13 February. Freda was a pivotal figure in the Society and her contribution to the typographic industry worldwide has been immense. She will be sorely missed by all of her typographic family and friends.
